Lauren Spear Dorgan and James were married on June 1, 2002.  Lauren is originally from Valley, Alabama. 

Lauren is a 1996 graduate of Prince Institute Court Reporting School of Montgomery, Alabama.  She is a free lance court reporter, which means that she works directly for attorneys.  As a court reporter, she attends and takes down depositions, and also court proceedings.  She is able to take down or "write" over 225 words per minute.    Lauren is a certified court reporter with the Alabama Court Reporters Association.

Although she has been invited to join a number of area firms, Lauren enjoys working for herself, and making her own schedule.  Due to this setup, Lauren is able to take off when she wants, while simultaneously being able to meet the needs of her clients.

 

Lauren is a member of the board of directors of the Baldwin Animal Rescue Center, and volunteers frequently for pet adoptions.
