James Expands Practice to Florida
In response to the needs of several clients, James has expanded his practice to Pensacola, Florida. AAlthough it took months of studying and countless examinations, I am happy to serve my clients in Florida. James is now admitted to practice law in Florida, as well as Alabama. As we are all so proud of Alabama and want so much for this great state, we may want to consider some of Florida's laws and policies, including a fair and informed judicial selection process, strong laws that protect the elderly, and a fully funded educational system. Despite all the changes, James continues to teach the Business Law classes as an adjunct at Spring Hill College, where he has been since 1997. To further assist his clients, James has a new, professionally designed Website http://www.jamesdorgan.com/, E-Mail: , and a toll free number for Pensacola clients. Support the Troops The United States invaded the sovereign nation of Iraq for reasons which since that time have proven dubious at best. The bi-partisan independent commission which investigated 9/11 found no link between the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and Saddam Hussein. Unfortunately, the Iraqi people resent the occupation, and at present, no viable exit is apparent. Regardless of how you feel about the Iraqi issue (as this is a very contentious issue), please continue to support our troops who are fighting so hard for our country. Carnival is Here ! Mobile has secured one of the leading cruise lines, Carnival, and has built a state of the art cruise terminal in downtown Mobile. AWhen the ship is in port, the view of the downtown skyline is amazing! James encourages all his friends, clients and citizens to support Mobile=s step into the cruise ship industry. Strong Advocacy is Essential Although the Law Office of James Dorgan continues to service all legal needs, more clients are coming to his office with injury and death cases. AWe are handling a number of catastrophic injury and death cases, in addition to our general practice. James asserts that a strong advocate in this area is essential to help neutralize the insurance company's inherent advantage over the victims and their families. James appreciates the continuing word of mouth referrals for injury and death cases. Ivan Unites A storm like Ivan shows how a community can unite against a common threat. Each of us has countless examples of how a friend, family member or neighbor, or even a mere acquaintance, assisted us during this time of need. For all of those who suffered a loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you. A Breath of Fresh Air A majority of Mobile residents would favor a ban on smoking in all city restaurants, the results of a 2004 survey suggest. Studies have shown that secondhand smoke is a known cause of lung cancer in humans. Please support state Senator Vivian Davis Figures in her continuing efforts to pass legislation to ban smoking in restaurants statewide. James encourages everyone to contact their state representative and support this important health initiative.
