To Stay Alive We Need Levee 5
Louisiana must remain focused with one voice, expressing our opinion on a national level with a rallying cry and a strong campaign. Yes, we who have lived in New Orleans want to return and rebuild. But we need a levee to protect our city --- its people, its buildings, and its culture. We need specific and on-going action towards rebuilding our wetlands and saving our marshes.
We must never forget that we cannot be as lax as we were before. The people of Louisiana must keep pressure on our elected officials ----- local, state, and national. It's time they get on the same page and begin immediately to build this protection, no matter how long it may take.
Every member of Congress will receive this print. Help us help ourselves by hanging it in your businesses and your favorite hang-outs. Make this a constant topic of conversation. We can never again take our safety for granted.
